In times of multiple crises, it’s natural to be cautious, even pessimistic. In Austria in particular, people tend to see the glass as half-empty rather than half-full. If governments, companies and individuals are pessimistic, there will be no more investment in infrastructure, industrial facilities or private consumption. The inevitable consequence is that pessimism becomes reality, and the momentum of economic recovery is lost. It is precisely for this reason that I believe it is our duty to be optimistic and actively shape our future. In addition to optimism, this also requires courage and determination.
This is why TÜV AUSTRIA will continue to invest in the coming year, both in the recruitment of new staff and in our technical infrastructure, in new technologies and in the further growth of the group of companies. We look forward to making our contribution to the recovery of business in Austria.
It is precisely this level of optimism, courage and determination that I wish us all for the coming year.
