With the opening of the new environmental simulation facilities, TÜV AUSTRIA is expanding its testing expertise and underlining its role as a leading innovator in the field of product safety.
Environmental simulation tests are important for manufacturers, as they guarantee the reliability and durability of products under realistic environmental conditions such as heat, cold, rain, snow and other climatic conditions.
Machines, devices, parts and components are tested under extreme conditions in eight ultra-modern, flexible climate chambers.
Stefan Haas, CEO of TÜV AUSTRIA: “We are not only creating innovation, but also prospects and a strong signal for the future”

Whether it’s heat pumps, sensitiveelectronic devices or fast-charging stations , the demands placed on modern products are constantly increasing. TÜV AUSTRIA’s environmental simulations help to meet these challenges. Even complex scenarios such as icing under normal pressure or in aviation-like conditions can be accurately simulated. For example, water expansion under cold conditions is used specifically to test the load-bearing capacity of test specimens.

Live demonstrations of environmental simulations, complemented by a guided tour of TÜV AUSTRIA’s Technology and Innovation Center in Vienna-Liesing, were a highlight of the event, attended by over 100 representatives from industry and research . Guests were given an overview of key test areas such as electromagnetic compatibility testing, mechanical component testing and industrial CT scanning.

Environmental simulations: a milestone for TÜV AUSTRIA
The opening marks an important milestone for TÜV AUSTRIA, and underlines the role of the Austrian group of companies with operations in 40 countries as a reliable partner for safety, quality and innovation.
