Vienna’s environmental simulation facilities set new standards for international product safety

21.10.2025

With the opening of the new environmental simulation facilities, TÜV AUSTRIA is expanding its testing expertise and underlining its role as a leading innovator in the field of product safety.

Environmental simulation tests are important for manufacturers, as they guarantee the reliability and durability of products under realistic environmental conditions such as heat, cold, rain, snow and other climatic conditions.

Machines, devices, parts and components are tested under extreme conditions in eight ultra-modern, flexible climate chambers.

Stefan Haas, CEO of TÜV AUSTRIA: “We are not only creating innovation, but also prospects and a strong signal for the future”

Mit der Eröffnung der neuen Umweltsimulationsanlagen erweitert TÜV AUSTRIA seine Prüfkompetenz und unterstreicht seine Rolle als Innovationsführer in der Produktsicherheit. Whether it’s heat pumps, sensitiveelectronic devices or fast-charging stations , the demands placed on modern products are constantly increasing. TÜV AUSTRIA’s environmental simulations help to meet these challenges. Even complex scenarios such as icing under normal pressure or in aviation-like conditions can be accurately simulated. For example, water expansion under cold conditions is used specifically to test the load-bearing capacity of test specimens.
